Vanity Card #23 - The World's Slowest Poison

In my previous life I was heavily interested in the modern science since I was always surrounded by medical professionals. Don't get your hopes up, I wasn't sick. I just had relatives that had chose their profession in the modern science. So it's kinda fun for me when I can freely examine one of the greatest things in the world, LOVE through the medical science glasses.

According to the modern science there are 13 symptoms for the physical and mental state of mind, which even has potential to grow into psychological diseases. Love's psychological symptoms usually range from cute "This one is the special one" to the crazy "I'm seriously obsessed". Your body goes through the roller coaster of exhilaration, euphoria, increased energy levels, loss of appetite, trembling, not to mention the ever racing heart and breathlessness. Negative feelings start to feel reinforced and things like anxiety, panic and despair are familiar faces.

Eventually all these physical and emotional sledgehammers lead to an increase of your brains dopamine production. Dopamine is one of the brain chemicals associated with pleasurable activities and overall excitement. Basically we humans are capable of drugging ourselves to the high clouds. So if you're feeling risky, you can always read through the study of Arthur Aron about creating love and grab a total stranger from a local coffee shop.

In all shortness, no need for pot, needles or any other stuff.
Love is a wild beast. Best medicine, best poison in town.
Happy big game hunting and remember to put your best pants on!
